The last six months brought many changes in the offices of The
Mentoring Group (TMG). As you may or may not know, we suffered
a great loss. Dr. Linda Phillips-Jones, co-founder of this division
of the Coalition of Counseling Centers (CCC), principal consultant,
and pioneering author passed away just after Christmas 2007.
One of her goals was to provide a worldwide network for individuals
interested in partnerships, research, programs/initiatives, and
mentoring advocacy.
Dr. Linda was the author of the mailing list articles and none
of us can even approach the quality and frequency of her mentoring
productivity. As a result, we will be unable to offer any more
mailings.
While TMG now maintains a smaller involvement in the mentoring
field, we are focusing our efforts on another project that Dr.
Linda helped initiate: CARS (Character
Assessment, Research, and Solutions).
The first generation of CARS is a faith-based character assessment
linked to character development strategies (one of which is mentoring).
It’s aimed at individuals interested in working on areas
of their character that need development. The second generation
will be designed for the marketplace. If you are interested in
this assessment, visit us at www.CARSresources.com
or contact us directly at info@mentoringgroup.com.
Thank you for your interest in The Mentoring Group. We wish you
well in your mentoring vision and efforts!
Appreciatively,
TMG Staff and Consultants
